Customers — Onset customers represent a broad range of industries. In the financial sector, METAmessage is used by firms such as the NYSE, UBS Paine Weber,  NIG, MetLife, and the SEC. Government customers include the FDA, the IRS, both the US House of Representatives and the US Senate, the US Postal Service, and NASA. Legal customers include many of the country’s best-known law firms such as Hughes Hubbard & Reed, Reed Smith, Dewey Ballantine, Mintz Levin, Ropes & Gray, Palmer & Dodge, and Womble, Carlysle. Other customers include United healthcare Pfizer, Cigna and FedEx.

Strategic Alliances — Onset is one of RIM’s leading ISVs and has partnered with vendors such as AT&T, Microsoft, and Ericsson, and leading mobile operators such as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, SkyTel, T-Mobile, and mmO2 (BT Cellnet).

Patents — Onset currently has several pending patents on various parts of its proprietary technologies.
